Artwork by Brenau University's Yanyu Wang of Zhengzhou, China, Selected for Exhibition at High Museum in Atlanta

Artwork by Brenau University Master of Fine Arts candidate Yanyu Wang of Zhengzhou, China, qualified for inclusion in a special exhibition at the prestigious High Museum of Art in Atlanta Jan. 28 through Feb. 14.

Wang majors in interior design at Brenau. Wang's work selected for the exhibit includes "High Museum" (acrylic on canvas), "Untitled Painting" (acrylic on canvas), "Untitled Painting II" (acrylic on canvas), "Citibank" (a banner), "Benefit Poster" (a digital print on paper), "Interior Room" (ink on paper), and "Still Life" (oil on canvas).

The exhibition, part of the Gainesville-based university's unique academic partnership with the High opened Jan. 28 in the museum's Greene Family Education Center. The 85 works selected includes digital prints, ceramics, oil and acrylic paintings, stoneware and mixed media. Most of the students whose works were selected primarily study art and design, interior design, mass communication, theater, and liberal arts. The competition was open to students from all disciplines.
