Carmen JaJuan Hughey from Gainesville, Ga., Represents Brenau University at GSU Mediation Tournament

Carmen JaJuan Hughey from Gainesville, Ga., represented Brenau University Friday, Oct. 12, at the second annual conflict resolution symposium at Georgia State University. The Brenau senior is a conflict resolution and legal studies major. She is a member of the Mock Mediation team, the Mock Trial Team, and BAMALS (Brenau Association of Mediators and Legal Scholars). Hughey is a graduate of West Hall High School. She is the daughter of John and Brenda Hughey of Gainesville.

The Friday tournament featured two teams each from Brenau, Georgia State, Clayton State University, Middle Georgia College and Gainesville State College. The Brenau victory in the 10-team competition followed by one week another first-place finish among college and university teams from three states that participated in the 10th regional invitational tournament that Brenau hosted on its home campus in Gainesville, Ga., Oct. 5-6.
