Kara Ruthann Keen from Winterville, Ga., Participates in 'A Raisin in the Sun' Theater Production with Brenau University

Kara Ruthann Keen from Winterville, Ga., participated in the Brenau University and Gainesville Theatre Alliance production of "A Raisin in the Sun". Keen is a freshman at Brenau University majoring in theater. She was the assistant stage manager. She is a graduate of Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Ga.

The classic 1959 stage drama, written by Lorraine Hansberry, ran Feb. 15-23 at the Ed Cabell Theatre on the University of North Georgia's Gainesville campus. It is based upon a family's experiences in the Washington Park Subdivision of Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood.
