Kathleen Rossi from Clearwater, Fla., helps Brenau University Golden Tigers Swim Team Finish No. 6 in the Nation

2013 Mar 23

Kathleen Rossi, a freshman fashion design major from Clearwater, Fla., helped the 2012-13 Brenau University Golden Tigers swimming team finish the season ranked No. 6 in the nation following the team's outstanding performance in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics 2013 Women's Swimming & Diving championship meet in Oklahoma City earlier this month. She is the daughter of Anthony and Kathy Rossi.

On the Brenau team, Rossi specializes in distance freestyle events.

"Kathleen has a background of competitve swimming, we are happy she calls Brenau home," said Golden Tigers Swim Coach Blaire Bachman. "We look forward to her growing as a student-athlete."

The No. 6 honor for the Golden Tigers, with four members named to the All-American squad, was the team's best finish since the university reinstated its intercollegiate program in 2005. The 2012 team finished eighth in the nation.

The Tigers will begin the 2013-14 campaign with all members returning except for senior All-American Hannah Boudreaux.
