Macy Dwyer from Gainesville, Georgia, Placed in the 2014 International Canoe Federation Championship

Macy Pauline Dwyer from Gainesville, Georgia, was selected for the 24-member U.S. dragon boat team that traveled to Poznan, Poland, for the 2014 International Canoe Federation World Championships Aug. 28-30. Her team won the overall women's division trophy and the overall ranking nations trophy, making them the U.S. World Champions. They also placed fourth in the 2000 meter race.

Dwyer is a senior majoring in interior design at Brenau University.
