Brenau University junior Maria Perdomo Medina of Canary Island, Spain, is on Brenau University's nationally ranked Golden Tigers Tennis Team. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll ranked the Brenau team No. 5 in the nation.
