Mary Farrow from Martin, Ga., Joins No. 3-ranked Brenau Golden Tigers Softball Squad

Mary Farrow from Martin, Ga., joined the nationally No. 3-ranked Brenau University Golden Tigers softball team for the 2013 season. She is the daughter of Don and Mariette Farow.

Farrow was named three-time most valuable player, two-time peak performer, three-time all-region, received captain's award, all-state honorable mention 2010 and silver slugger award while playing for the Franklin County High. She graduated with the record of 349 at-bats, 141 hits, 46 bases on balls, 28 doubles, 17 triples, 71 RBIs, 98 scored runs, 66 stolen bases, .404 batting average, .582 slugging percentage, 5.019 obstruction percentage, and .931 fielding percentage.

The freshman fashion merchandising major said she joined Brenau for "the softball program and the small private atmosphere of the school."

The Tigers finished the 2012 campaign ranked No. 4 in the nation following a narrow loss in the National Intercollegiate Athletics Association national tournament semifinals. The team picked up a No. 3 ranking in the NAIA pre-season coaches' poll.
