Melanie Frances Fain from Cleveland, Ga., Represents Brenau University at GSU Mediation Tournament

Melanie Frances Fain from Cleveland, Ga., represented Brenau University Friday, Oct. 12, at the second annual conflict resolution symposium at Georgia State University. Fain and sophomore teammate Suzette Meza tied for first place in the individual mediation portion of the tournament. The Brenau junior is a conflict resolution and legal studies major. She is a member of BAMAL (Brenau Association of Mediators and Legal Scholars) and the Commuter Council. Fain is a graduate of White County High School. She is the daughter of John and Twanna Fain of Cleveland.

The Friday tournament featured two teams each from Brenau, Georgia State, Clayton State University, Middle Georgia College and Gainesville State College. The Brenau victory in the 10-team competition followed by one week another first-place finish among college and university teams from three states that participated in the 10th regional invitational tournament that Brenau hosted on its home campus in Gainesville, Ga., Oct. 5-6.
