Mengqiu Zhao Performs in "Honors Il Portale Musicale" at Brenau University during the Fall 2013 Semester

On Oct. 14, 2013, Mengqiu Zhao performed as part of the juried group of music majors in the fall semester's Honors Il Portale Musicale, presented by the Brenau University Music Department. The performance featured music that spans genres through various periods from the Baroque to the Romantic. She performed "Tribute to Roberto Garcia Morillo" by Alberto Ginastera for Il Portale Musicale. Mengqiu plays the piano.

Zhao is a senior majoring in music and interior design at Brenau University. She is the daughter of Guoping Zhao and Jingmin Yang. Mengqiu is a graduate of Henan Experimental High School. Mengqiu is a member of Mu Phi Epsilon national music honor society; a member of Kappa Pi national art honor society
